This City in Norway has not witnessed any death in last 70 years. How?

When something as normal and predictable as death is banished, it does appear a bit unreasonable. You would be amazed to be acquainted with the fact that there in fact are quite some places on Earth where death has been prohibited, and judged against the law. In actual fact, it appears that this is really an ancient practice; the most primitive known example of the exclusion of demise was in the 5th century BC, when dying was not permitted on spiritual grounds at the Greek island of Delos.

The dwellers of the small Norwegian city of Longyearbyen have to deal with some grave problems. Young kids grow mobility troubles thanks to putting on coatings of heavy clothing.

Polar bears hit everything on the way and people aren’t permitted to kill them unless in self-protection. And last of all, people are banished from losing their lives in Longyearbyen.

The town’s cemetery put a stop to accept new occupants 70 years back, after it was learned that the permafrost prevented the bodies from accompanying the usual decomposition procedure and were in its place remaining completely preserved.

Longyearbyen is situated on an island stuck between Norway’s shoreline and the North Pole and experiences almost terribly low temperatures in the chilly period. Since the cemetery is closed for biz, people who are close to bereavement get shifted to other regions of the realm with the intention to be put to rest in a different burial ground.

A few years back a group of researchers decided to carry out a research on the permafrost occurrence that protects the corpses in the cemetery. They scrutinized tissue from an individual who lost life in the tow, and detected that his dead body had preserved the Influenza virus since his demise in a 1917 outbreak.
